Jean Laplanche : vie et oeuvre. Une introduction

Résumé
Cet article introductif sur la vie et l’œuvre du psychanalyste français Jean Laplanche (°1924 +2012) décrit brièvement l’histoire de sa vie. En plus d’être psychanalyste, il était également universitaire, traducteur et viticulteur. Après une formation philosophique et des études à l’université de Harvard, il entre en analyse avec Lacan. Il est ensuite devenu le grand théoricien de la psychanalyse freudienne. Les lignes principales de son œuvre sont exposées : les fantasmes originaires, la révolution copernicienne, la situation anthropologique fondamentale, l’évolution de la théorie de l’étayage vers une théorie de la séduction généralisée, la traduction comme principe fondamental de la psyché. Vers la fin de sa vie, Laplanche a introduit le terme Sexual qui a joué un rôle important dans le débat sur le genre. La théorie de Laplanche est illustrée par une vignette clinique de l’auteur lui-même. Les implications cliniques sont enfin discutées. En conclusion, l’article décrit comment Laplanche a influencé la pensée de l’auteur.

In dit inleidend artikel over het leven en het werk van de Franse psychoanalyticus Jean Laplanche (°1924 +2012) wordt zijn levens- geschiedenis in het kort beschreven. Naast psychoanalyticus, was hij ook academicus, vertaler en wijnbouwer. Na zijn filosofische oplei- ding en zijn studie aan de universiteit van Harvard, is hij in analyse gegaan bij Lacan. Later heeft hij zich ontwikkeld tot de theoreticus van de freudiaanse psychoanalyse. De grote lijnen van zijn werk worden geschetst: de oerfantasmen, de copernicaanse revolutie, de fundamentele antropologische situatie, de aanleuningstheorie, zijn theorie over de veralgemeende verleiding en vertaling als grondprincipe. Aan het einde van zijn leven heeft hij het Sexuale geïntroduceerd en heeft hij een belangrijke rol gespeeld in het debat rond gender. In het artikel wordt een klinisch vignet gebruikt van de auteur zelf om de theorie van Laplanche te illustreren. Er wordt tenslotte ingegaan op de klinische implicaties. In het besluit wordt beschreven hoe Laplanche het denken van de auteur heeft beïnvloed.
Summary
This introductory article on the life and work of the French psychoana- lyst Jean Laplanche (°1924 +2012) briefly describes his life history. Besides being a psychoanalyst, he was also an academic, translator and winegrower. After his philosophical training and studies at Harvard University, he entered analysis with Lacan. He later became the famous theoretician of Freudian psychoanalysis. The broad outlines of his work are outlined: the primordial phantasies, the Copernican revolu- tion, the fundamental anthropological situation, the theory of anaclisis, the theory of generalized seduction and translation as a fundamental principle of the psyche. At the end of his life, he introduced the term of the Sexual and played an important role in the debate around gender. The article uses a clinical vignette by the author himself to illustrate Laplanche’s vision. Finally, the clinical implications are discussed. In conclusion, it summarizes how Laplanche has influenced the author’s thinking.
