L'utilisation du rêve dans la pratique analytique reste un sujet d'actualité. L'auteur évalue les apports du matériel onirique à la compréhension du patient par l'analyste.
Au décodage du contenu manifeste qui donne accès au désir inconscient et au souvenir infantile, s'ajoutent les éclairages sur le fonctionnement mental, l'état du préconscient, la structure du Moi, etc… révélés par la forme et la structure du rêve.
L'usage que fait le patient de son matériel onirique dans l'actualité du processus transférentiel, apporte une aide précieuse à la compréhension et au maniement du transfert.
Le rêve peut contribuer au progrès de l'analyse si l'analyste arrive à en faire un usage approprié grâce à sa compréhension théorique, à son intuition et à son aisance contretransférentielle.

Het gebruik van de droom in ons analytisch werk blijft een actueel onderwerp. De auteur vraagt zich af wat het droommateriaal bijdraagt tot het beter begrijpen van de patiënt door de analyticus.
Het ontcijferen van de manifeste inhoud geeft ons toegang tot het onbewuste verlangen en tot de herinnering uit de kinderjaren. Maar daarenboven krijgen we een inzicht in het functioneren van ons psychisch leven, in de toestand van het voorbewuste, in de IK-structuur enz… Dit alles komt tot uiting in de vorm en de structuur van de droom.
Het gebruik dat de patiënt van de droom maakt in het overdrachtsproces, zoals het op dat ogenblik aan gang is, verheldert in een belangrijke mate het begrip en het hanteren van deze overdracht.
De droom kan derhalve de analyse doen vooruitgaan zo de analyticus er in slaagt er een doelmatig gebruik van te maken, dank zij zijn theoretisch inzicht, zijn intuitie en het gemak waarmee hij met zijn eigen tegenoverdracht omgaat.

The use of dreams in analytic practice remains a current topic. The author evaluates the contributions of dream material to the analyst's understanding of the patient.
To the deciphiring of the manifest content which gives access to the unconscious whishes and the infantile memories, may be added the illuminations on the mental functioning, state of the pre-conscious, ego structure, etc… revealed by the form and structure of the dream.
The use made by the patient of his dream material in the here-and-now of the transference, particularly helps us in understanding and handling the transference. Dreams can contribute to the progress of the analysis if the analyst can come to use them appropriately thanks to his theoretical understanding, to his intuition and his ease in the countertransference.
