La théorie kleinienne porte-t-elle les traces significatives du sexe de Mélanie Klein et l’identité sexuelle de celle-ci recèle-t-elle en soi les germes de sa pensée conceptuelle ? Enquête menée à travers les écrits, la biographie et l’environnement de Mélanie Klein. Il en ressort que tant du côté de l’œuvre que du côté de l’auteur, la mère et la femme occupent incontestablement une place de choix. Néanmoins, au-delà de l’influence du sexe et de l’identité sexuelle de l’auteur sur sa production scientifique, les mille et une facettes de sa personnalité ou de sa vie toute entière seraient davantage encore déterminants dans sa création.

Draagt de kleiniaanse theorievorming de sporen van het geslacht van Melanie Klein en versluiert haar seksuele identiteit de kiemen van haar conceptvorming ? Dit onderzoek leidt ons langs haar geschriften, biografie en levensomgeving. Het wordt duidelijk dat zowel in haar werk als in haar leven, de figuren van moeder en vrouw ontegensprekelijk een voorkeursplaats innamen. Nochtans blijken er nog 1001 facetten van haar persoonlijkheid en haar leven een grote rol gespeeld te hebben in de ontwikkeling van haar wetenschappelijk werk, voorbij de invloed van geslacht en seksuele identiteit.

Does Kleinian theory carry in it significant traces of Melanie Klein’s gender, and does her sexual identity contain the germs of her conceptual thinking ? An investigation based on Melanie Klein’s writings, biography and environment. It becomes evident, as much from the work as from the author herself, that mother and woman indisputably occupy a place of choice. However, going beyond the influence of the author’s gender and sexual identity on her scientific production, a thousand and one facets of her personality or of her entire life are even more important factors in her creativity.
