De la communication et de la noncommunication: la recherche d’un objet qui survivra
Résumé
Cet article est une réponse sollicitée à un article de Durieux et Matot sur une lecture psychanalytique d’Harry Potter, poursuivant mes articles antérieurs sur l’idée d’un objet intrapsychique qui survit et un objet qui ne survit pas j’essaye ici d’élargir ces concepts à la recherche d’un objet qui survivra. Je pose l’hypothèse que l’artiste qui écrit et qui est dans un processus « de faire quelque chose » cherche un objet qui survivra aux niveaux les plus profonds de la psyché. J’associe cette idée au commentaire sur Harry Potter et l’adolescence en m’appuyant sur l’œuvre tardive de Winnicott sur l’adolescence et la survie psychique liée à l’utilisation de l’objet. J’évoque, sans l’approfondir, le thème de l’expérience subjective d’un écrivain qui crée une œuvre comme J. K. Rowling l’a fait avec la saga Harry Potter.
Samenvatting
This paper is an invited response to a paper by Durieux et Matot concerning a psychoanalytic reading of Harry Potter. Following on from my previous papers that develop the idea of a surviving and non surviving intrapsychic object, here I attempt to extend those notions to look at the search for an object who will survive. I propose that the artist who writes and is in the process of ‘making’ something is in the process of searching for an object who will survive at the deepest layers of the psyche. I link this idea with the commentary on Harry Potter and the years of adolescence leaning on Winnicott’s late work on adolescence and psychic survival related to the use of an object. I touch on, but don’t elaborate, the subjective experience of a writer who creates such a work as J. K. Rowling has through the volumes of Harry Potter.

Dit artikel is een reactie op het artikel van Durieux en Matot betreffende een psychoanalytische lezing van Harry Potter en dit op basis van mijn voorgaande artikelen waarin de idee van een overlevend en niet overlevend intrapsychisch object wordt uitgewerkt. Hier breid ik deze noties uit bij de zoektocht naar een object dat overleeft.
De kunstenaar die schrijft is op zoek naar een object dat overleeft in de diepste lagen van de psyché. Ik breng de commentaar op Harry Potter in verband met Winnicott’s late werk over adolescentie en psychische overleving in verband met objectgebruik. tevens wordt de subjectieve ervaring aangestipt van een schrijver zoals J.K. Rowling dit heeft ervaren tijdens het schrijven van de volumes van Harry Potter.
