Résumé
A partir d’exemples cliniques mais aussi en analysant un roman de série noire, l’auteur étudie le mouvement dialectique continu qui est nécessaire entre un milieu favorable et la capacité de développer de nouvelles pensées. Il montre aussi qu’en étant attentif aux dérivés narratifs, les associations dans la séance, l’analyste peut « entendre » si le champ « fonctionne et tient » : la fonction de modulation du champ est ainsi décrite comme l’une des principales fonctions de l’analyste. En effet, c’est elle qui permet le développement créatif des pensées et qui promeut celui des transformations psychiques.

Vertrekkende van klinische voorbeelden, maar ook voortgaande op de analyse van een roman "série noire" bestudeert de auteur de continue dialectische beweging die nodig is tussen een gunstig en bevorderlijk milieu enerzijds en de capaciteit tot het ontwikkelen van nieuwe gedachten anderzijds. Hij toont ook aan dat door aandachtig te zijn voor de verhaallijn, de associaties in de zitting, de analyst kan 'horen' of het veld 'al dan niet functioneert' : de functie van de modulering van het veld wordt zo omschreven als één van de voornaamste functies van de analyst. Inderdaad, het is deze functie die een creatieve ontplooiing van de gedachten mogelijk maakt en die de psychische transformaties bevordert.
Summary
The author uses case studies as his starting point but also his analysis of a thriller (roman noir) to study the continuous dialectical movement which is necessary between a favourable background and the capacity to develop new thoughts.
He also shows that listening carefully to the derivatives or by products of the narratives, the associations in the session the analyst can "hear” if the field "works and holds".
The function of modulation of the field is also described as one of the principle functions of the analyst. In fact, it's that which enables the creative development of thoughts and which promises psychic transformations.
