Quelques réflexions à propos de fins d’analyses chez des patients narcissiques.

L’article est centré sur les particularités des fins d’analyses de trois patients narcissiques.
Leur brusque détermination à interrompre l’analyse est attribuée à un double impératif: le refus de renoncer à un idéal associé à l’économie narcissique et la difficulté de montrer et de vivre dans la relation analytique les progrès et les changements dus à l’analyse. Ces analysants évitent les vécus de deuil, son élaboration anticipatrice sans qu’il soit pour autant possible d’affirmer qu’aucun travail de deuil n’ait été accompli. L’analyste a constaté dans son contre-transfert la reconnaissance du souhait d’autonomie de ces patients, leur départ n’étant pas seulement ressenti comme une fuite. Ce vécu a induit une attitude contre transférentielle en relation avec la conviction intime que, par leur démarche, ces analysants traduisaient, parmi d’autres détermi- nismes, le désir d’être reconnus au plus primitif d’eux-mêmes comme sujets originaux capables d’autonomie.

In dit artikel wordt beschreven wat opviel bij drie narcistische patiënten in het beëndingen van hun analyse.
Hun bruuske beslissing de analyse te onderbreken wordt toegeschreven aan een dubbele onweerstaanbare drang : enerzijds de weigering te verzaken aan een ideaal dat vastzit aan hun narcistische economie ; anderzijds de moeilijkheid om in de analytische relatie de vooruitgang en de veranderingen, te wijten aan de analyse, te tonen en te beleven.
Deze analysandi vermijden het beleven van de rouw evenals zijn anticipatorische verwerking. We kunnen evenwel niet beweren dat er geen enkele rouwarheid zou hebben plaats gevonden.
De analyticus heeft er zich in zijn tegenoverdracht rekenschap van gegeven dat deze patiënten wel degelijk een wens tot autonomie bezaten. Daardoor voelt hij hun vertrek niet helemaal als een vlucht aan. Deze beleving lokt een tegenoverdrachtelijke houding uit. Zij vertolkt de innige overtuiging dat deze analysandi, door de stappen die zij ondernemen, te midden van andere determinismen, eveneens het verlangen uitdrukken in het meest primitieve deel van hen zelf als een oorspronkelijk subject erkend te worden dat bekwaam is zich autonoom te gedragen
Summary
This article is centred upon the particularities of the ending of the ana- lyses of three narcissistic patients. Their sudden decision to interrupt is attribueted to a double imperative : refusal to give up an ideal associated with the narcissistic economy and the difficulty of showing and living in the analytic relationship the progress and the changes due to the analysis. These analysands avoid the experience of mourning and its elaboration in anticipation, although we cannot state definitely that a certain amount of mourning has not been accomplished. The analyst has observed in the countertranference a recognition of a need for autonomy in these patients, their departure not being felt only as aflight. This experience induced a countertransferential attitude related to the intimate conviction that by their initiative, these analysands translated, among other determining factors, the desire to be recognised in the most primitive parts of themselves, as original subjects capable of autonomy.
