Samenvatting
C’est en 1968 que Winnicott écrit son article sur l’utilisation de l’objet. Il y aborde le concept le plus ingénieux de son travail de psychanalyste, mais y utilise des mots comme destruction, survie, utilisation, qui à ce moment-là de la psychanalyse, sont difficilement compris.
Il retravaillera son article jusqu’à sa mort.

C’est à travers le travail analytique de N, que nous allons reprendre pas à pas les différents concepts abordés dans cet article difficile.
Pour que le sujet puisse profiter pleinement de ce que peut lui trans- mettre l’objet, dit Winnicott, il va devoir apprendre à l’utiliser.
Jusque-là, la psychanalyse s’est essentiellement centrée sur le sujet et ses mécanismes projectifs. Winnicott introduit ici l’environnement, et l’objet qui, pour pouvoir être utilisé, doit exister dans le monde réel, dans la réalité extérieure.
L’objet doit donc d’abord pouvoir exister, mais il doit alors être détruit, et puis survivre à cette destruction. Ce n’est qu’ainsi qu’il pourra exister tout en étant en dehors de la zone de projection du sujet et qu’il pourra nourrir le sujet.
Nous revisiterons les différentes étapes qu’implique l’utilisation. La relation à l’objet, la destruction, sa nécessaire survivance, et enfin son utilisation.

In 1968 schreef Winnicott zijn artikel over het gebruik van het object. Hierin behandelde hij het meest ingenieuze concept in zijn werk als psychoanalyticus, maar gebruikte hij woorden als vernietiging, overleving en gebruik, die in die tijd moeilijk te begrijpen waren in de psychoanalyse.
Hij herwerkte zijn artikel tot aan zijn dood.
Het is aan de hand van N’s analytische werk dat we stap voor stap de verschillende concepten die in dit moeilijke artikel worden besproken, zullen behandelen.
Winnicott zegt dat als het subject ten volle wil profiteren van wat het object hem kan geven, hij zal moeten leren het te gebruiken.
Tot nu toe heeft de psychoanalyse zich voornamelijk gericht op het subject en zijn of haar projectieve mechanismen. Hier introduceert Winnicott de omgeving en het object die, om gebruikt te worden, moeten bestaan in de echte wereld, in de externe werkelijkheid.
Het object moet daarom eerst kunnen bestaan, maar het moet dan ver- nietigd worden en vervolgens deze vernietiging overleven. Alleen op deze manier kan het buiten de projectiezone van het subject bestaan en het subject voeden.
We zullen de verschillende stadia van het gebruik opnieuw bekijken. De relatie tot het object, de vernietiging ervan, het noodzakelijke voortbes- taan van het object en uiteindelijk het gebruik ervan.
Summary
It was in 1968 that Winnicott wrote his article on the use of the object. In it, he addressed the most ingenious concept in his work as a psy- choanalyst, but used words such as destruction, survival and use, which were difficult to understand at that time in psychoanalysis.
He reworked his article until his death.
It is through N’s analytical work that we will take up step by step the various concepts discussed in this difficult article.
Winnicott says that if the subject is to take full advantage of what the object can give him, he will have to learn to use it.
Until now, psychoanalysis has focused essentially on the subject and his or her projective mechanisms. Here, Winnicott introduces the envi- ronment and the object which, in order to be used, must exist in the real world, in external reality.
The object must therefore first be able to exist, but it must then be des- troyed, and then survive this destruction. Only in this way can it exist outside the subject’s zone of projection and nourish the subject.
