Literary creation, one of the faces of Eros?

Joyce McDougall had the originality to integrate the notion of creativ- ity into her psychoanalytical theoretical corpus. She also thought of the psychoanalytic cure as a possibility to liberate the patients’ artis- tic expression. Her conception is here deployed and discussed, with the help of proposals from other analysts interested in the process of creation. It is also enlightened and nuanced by the experiences and thoughts of some writers.
