L’auteur s’interroge sur la relation de l’analyste à la réalité socioculturelle. Dans un premier temps, elle discute les risques de la psychanalyse appliquée tels que décrits depuis déjà Freud : réductionnisme, interprétation sauvage et saturation spéculative d’un champ complexe. Dans un deuxième temps, elle questionne plus particulièrement le défi posé à la psychanalyse par un sujet d’actualité tel que la crise climatique : son fort retentissement émotionnel risque de mettre en danger la capacité réflexive de l’analyste. Ce danger pourrait être compensé par un travail interdisciplinaire.

De auteur stelt de vraag of de analist zich verhoudt tot de socio-culturele realiteit. In de eerste plaats bespreekt ze de risico’s van toegepaste analyses die Freud al heeft genoemd: Reductionisme, wilde interpretatie en speculatieve verzadiging van een complex veld. Ten tweede stelt zij meer in het bijzonder de uitdaging aan de psychoanalyse in twijfel door een zeer actueel onderwerp: De klimaatcrisis. De sterke emotionele repercussies van de analist lopen het risico de reflexieve capaciteit van de analist in gevaar te brengen. Dit gevaar kan worden gecompenseerd door interdisciplinair werk.

The author raises the question of the analyst’s relationship to socio-cultural reality. First, she discusses the risks of applied analysis already pointed out by Freud: reductionism, wild interpretation and speculative saturation of a complex field. Secondly, she questions more particularly the challenge posed to psychoanalysis by a highly topical issue: the climate crisis. Its strong emotional repercussions risk endangering the reflexive capacity of the analyst. This danger could be offset by interdisciplinary work.
