L’article s’ouvre sur une discussion relative à la façon dont le journal a trouvé accès auprès du grand public. Il décrit ensuite les trois thèmes principaux du journal de Ferenczi : la relation de Ferenczi avec Freud, l’analyse mutuelle avec Elisabeth Severn (RN), enfin des considérations sur la thérapie de patients traumatisés ou victimes d’inceste, partie la plus importante du journal. Le traumatisme entraîne une fragmentation de la psyché en plusieurs parties. Ferenczi mentionne l’hypocrisie des parents, des éducateurs et des enseignants comme une cause importante du masochisme. En fin d’article, les implications thérapeutiques du traitement des victimes d’abus sexuels et d’inceste sont débattus.
Het klinisch dagboek van Ferenczi. De psychoanalyse van trauma’s
In dit artikel wordt ingegaan op de manier waarop het klinisch dagboek van Ferenczi zijn weg vond naar een psychoanalytisch publiek. Er zijn drie grote thema’s in het klinisch dagboek: de relatie tussen Ferenczi en Freud, de mutuele analyse met Elizabeth Severn en de therapie van getraumatiseerde patiënten en incestslachtoffers, die een belangrijk deel van het klinisch dagboek uitmaakt. Trauma veroorzaakt een splitsing van de persoonlijkheid in verschillende delen. In het klinisch dagboek wordt een andere etiologische dimensie van masochisme genoemd: de hypocriete houding van ouders, opvoeders en psychoanalytici. Aan het eind van het artikel worden de implicaties voor de hedendaagse behandeling van slachtoffers van seksueel misbruik en incest, besproken.
Summary
In this article there is a discussion of the way how the clinical diary of Ferenczi found its way to a psychoanalytic audience. There are three major themes in the clinical diary: the relation between Ferenczi and Freud, the mutual analysis with Elizabeth Severn and the therapy of traumatized patients and incest victims, which forms a major part of the clinical diary. Trauma creates a splitting of the personality in several parts. In the clinical diary another etiological dimension of masochism is mentioned: the hypocritical attitude of parents, educators, and analysts. At the end of the article the implications for the contemporary treatment of victims of sexual abuse and incest, is discussed.
