Summary

In this article the author reflects upon "the adolescent in the analysis". He hypothesises that the states which do not allow the formation of the transference neurosis nor its elaboration often permit a problematic issue of adolescence to make its appearance in the foreground. Starting from two clinical examples and their elaboration, he brings alive for us the need to understand this problematic issue of adolescence in the analytic process with its positive and negative effects on psychic functioning.
