De verschillen tussen een psychoanalyse en een analytische psychotherapie kunnen gevat worden in termen ven de tegenoverdrachtelijke positie van de therapeut. Deze positie komt tot stand in functie van zijn project maar ook in functie van zijn opleiding.

The differences between psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy can be conceptualized in terms of the counter transference position of the practitionner as defined by their intention (project) but also their training.
