L’espace de représentation
Résumé
Cet article propose une analogie entre le travail de représentation qui organise la création artistique et celui qui peut prendre place dans un processus psychanalytique. Dans les “Ménines” de Velasquez, l’espace de figuration du tableau est prolongé par un espace qualifié ici d'”intermédiaire”, envisagé comme lieu de transformation et de passage de l’image à la représentation, celle-ci s’inscrivant dans un espace virtuel, groupal et culturel. Le travail de représentation que cherchent à promouvoir les cadres de traitement psychanalytiques suppose le déploiement d’un espace de diffusion d’identité, transitionnel au sens de Winnicott, qui permet d’inscrire le sentiment d’identité individuelle dans les structures psychiques groupales, sociales et culturelles.
Samenvatting
Dit artikel bespreekt de analogie die men kan zien tussen het voorstellingsvermogen in de artistieke creatie en het werk dat plaats grijpt in een psychoanalytisch proces. In “Las Meninas” van Velasquez, wordt de beeldruimte van het schilderij verdergezet in een ruimte die men als “intermediair” kan beschouwen, dit wil zeggen als ruimte voor transformatie en overgang van beeld naar voorstelling, in een virtuele ruimte, groepaal en individueel. Het voorstellingsvermogen zoals dit binnen het kader van de psychoanalytische behandeling gepoogd wordt te ontwikkelen, veronderstelt het ontplooien van een ruimte voor identiteitsdiffusie, transitioneel in de betekenis die Winnicott eraan geeft, zodat een individueel identiteitsgevoel zich binnen de groepale, sociale en culturele, psychische structuren kan plaats hebben.
Summary
This article suggests that an analogy can be made between the representational work which organises artistic creation and that which takes
place in an analytic process. In the “Ménines” of Velasquez, the representational space of the picture is prolonged by a space here described
as intermediary. It is seen seen as a place of transformation and passage of
the image to the representation and is inscribed in the virtual, group and
cultural space. The work of representation that seeks to promote the setting of psychoanalytic treatment presupposes the deployment of a type of identity diffusion in the traditional Winnicottian sense that permits the noting of
feeling of individual identity in the psychic group, social and cultural structures.
