Summary

In this article, we approach narcissism from the perspective of its articulation conceptually with the ideas of the Ego, the Self and the psychic. Attention is drawn to the pathological inclination of a dominating Ego to cover and to hide the weakness of the Self. The complexity and the various modulations of "something psychic" are mentioned and linked to the necessity of a theory of action (verbal), of time and of language. Lastly, the work of representation in and by the psychoanalysis ought not to divert our attention from the forms of expression.
