Le geste et la parole
Résumé
Le dispositif psychanalytique est conçu de manière à ériger la parole en "final common path" de l'appareil psychique. D'où la règle fondamentale du "tout dire et ne rien faire". Nous concevons le geste et la parole comme des univers phénoménaux étanches, hétérogènes, sans commune mesure. Austin nous enseigne toutefois que souvent, sinon toujours, dire c'est faire. Et par son observation du "jeu de la bobine", Freud nous montre bien que le symbole naît dans l'étroite conjonction du geste et de la parole. Le lieu de cette synthèse, c'est l'inscription, l'écriture. La "Note sur le Bloc Magique" illustre d'ailleurs parfaitement cette conception de l'appareil psychique comme appareil d'écriture. Dans l'analyse, et c'est la condition et la raison de son efficacité, le cadre vise à transformer l'appareil psychique non en appareil de langage mais en appareil d'écriture.

De opstelling in een psychoanalytische behandeling is er op gericht het gesproken woord te verheffen tot het "final common path" van het psychisch apparaat. Vandaar de grondregel van de psychoanalyse : alles te zeggen en niets te doen.
Het gebaar en het gesproken woord kunnen we opvatten als verschijnselen die wijzen op gesloten werelds, heterogeen en zonder gemene maat. Austin wijst er evenwel op dat zeggen dikwijls, zoniet altijd, neerkomt op doen.
Door zijn observatie van het "spel met het klosje" kon Freud duidelijk aantonen dat het symbool tot stand komt in de nauwe verwevenheid van het gebaar en het gesproken woord. De plaats waar deze synthese gebeurt, is het inschrijven, het op schrift stellen. De "notitie over het toverblok" is een perfecte illustratie van de opvatting dat het psychisch apparaat een apparaat is om "neer te schrijven".
Voorwaarde tot en reden van de werkzaamheid van een psychoanalyse is een kader dat het psychisch apparaat niet wil omvormen tot een taalapparaat maar tot een "neerschrijfapparaat".

The psychoanalytic situation is conceived in such a way that it sets up the spoken word as "final common path" of the psychic apparatus. Hence the basic rule to "say everything and do nothing". We conceive of gestures and the spoken word as sealed phenomenal spaces, heterogeneous, with nothing in common. Austin teaches us, however, that often, if not always, saying is doing. By his observation of the "fort-da", Freud demonstrated well that the symbol is born in the close conjunction between gesture and speech. The place of this synthesis is inscribing, writing. The "Magic Writing Pad", indeed, illustrates perfectly this conception of the psychic apparatus as a writing apparatus. In psychoanalysis, and this is the condition of and the reason for its efficacity, the setting aims to transform the psychic apparatus not into a language apparatus but into a writing apparatus.
