Résumé
Emilie, petite fille de cinq ans et demi, souffre de crises d'asthme : moments de débordement d'un surplus d'excitation court-circuitant la mentalisation et passant à l'état brut dans le soma.
L'évolution de son analyse et l'émergence de l'espace analytique montrent que le cauchemar apparaît comme un maillon de la chaîne de transformations qui sous-tend le travail psychique et qui permet le passage du sens là où il fut interrompu.
La constitution d'un appareil psychique capable de traiter les excitations et de les transformer en représentations dépend notamment de l'équilibre du système pare-excitation.
Samenvatting
Emilie, een meisje van vijf en een half jaar, lijdt aan asthmacrises. Deze komen op ogenblikken waarop ze door een te veel aan prikkeling overstroomd wordt. Daarbij treedt kortsluiting op, in die zin dat de prikkeling rechtstreeks, zonder verwerking, in het lichaam verdwijnt, daarbij de mentalisatie overslaand.
De evolutie van haar analyse en het tot stand komen van de analytische ruimte wijzen er op dat de bewuste nachtmerrie opduikt als een schakel in de ketting van de reeks omvormingen, die met de psychische verwerking gemoeid zijn, en die een verdere zingeving mogelijk maakt, daar waar deze vroeger onderbroken werd.
Het tot stand komen van een psychisch apparaat dat in staat is de prikkeltoevoer te verwerken en deze prikkels om te zetten in voorstellingen, hangt namelijk af van het evenwicht waarin het prikkelwerend systeem verkeert.
