Decipher pandemic lids to better digest while tasting it

The Covid-19 pandemic appears as a “global social fact” that highlights the vulnerabilities of a “globalized” world dominated by financial capitalism and virtualization, increased by digital technologies. The disruptions of the metasocial containers generated by the encounter of a virus with the “availability” of the world announce from this point of view those that we will face during this period of ecosystem disasters in which we have entered. From this point of view, the acute awareness of this vulnerability, as well as the increased echo of multidisciplinary analyses of its determinants, could accelerate radical systemic changes likely to mitigate the impacts of the ecosystemic disaster. It could also promote the emergence of other ways of living in the world and of living in society. In such a perspective, the contribution of psychoanalysts could prove to be as useful as those of bats. The author considers that this presupposes, however, an in-depth moving forward the psychoanalytic metapsychology, in a way he presents several broad directions.
